After a rather bumpy flight, I've arrived at Singapore safe and sound. Food was naw bad on the flight, films were a bit rubbish. I also found out baggage allowance was 20kg and after my crazy praying like a crazy woman to the airport, managed to avoid a charge of 52 UK pounds per kilo (I was 10 over), so thank you God!! I'll be posting stuff home for sure.

Also realised I've forgotten one of my camera chargers, gutting, but I'll either buy a new one or get Leann or Heather to post it out, hopefully, lovely sisters!

Better go, I'm roasting here!
Another 10 hour flight ahead of me and I'll be in lovely Auckland. I look forward to the rain after the recent London heat-wave.

Lots of love,
God Bless

We've arrived!

Auckland, New Zealand

overcast 17 °C

Hello!! I'm now on the other side of the world!!

We left London Heathrow around 11pm, arrived in Bangkok Thailand 11 hours later, then arrived in Sydney 9 hours later, then arrived in Auckland 3 hours later. What an extremely long journey!! But it wasn't too bad - we had our own TV's on the plane, and had a massive selection of films and programs to watch, and an unlimited supply of booze haha!

Unfortunately me and Elisa's bags didn't make it to the connecting flight from Sydney to Auckland but they should arrive first thing tomorrow morning so it's not so bad - I'm just glad I kept all my cameras on my hand luggage!

We've booked into Aspen House in the city centre - a little traveller's B&B and at quite a cheap price! My bank card didn't want to work at the airport, so I've had to borrow some pennies until I find another bank - it should work as it's VISA, we'll have to hope and pray..

So we've all had our showers and are heading out to St. Patrick's Cathedral for mass at 7pm, then we'll go out for din-dins and then maybe a drink or two.

Check out's at 10am tomorrow and then we'll get our camper vans and hit the open road!
The plan is to drive all the way from the top of the north island, get a ferry to the south island, and continue down to Christchurch with a stop for snowboarding!

The scenery here is very much like Scotland, I'm liking it. Very autumny - leaves everywhere. Just a shame it's winter.. I didn't know what to expect of Auckland as a city, it's OK, but we haven't had a chance to check it out yet so I'm excited to wander around.

Right I think that's enough for a wee update - not much to tell other than we got here safe and sound with just a few glitches!

Mum, Heather and Mark - I sent a post card from Bangkok yesterday - no idea when you'll get it though!!

Not sure when I'll next update, hopefully get a WiFi spot for the laptop and get a few photos up at some point!

God Bless x
